Biography
A Voice Between Worlds
David Capiello is a Venezuelan lyric tenor and trained countertenor — a rare combination that positions him at the intersection of classical opera and contemporary Latin crossover. Born in Venezuela and shaped by the Ibero-American vocal tradition, David brings an uncommon emotional depth to every performance.
His voice carries the warmth and transparency of the Venezuelan vocal school, while his countertenor training allows him to move effortlessly into the upper registers that defined the great castrato repertoire. This dual mastery is the foundation of his artistic identity — described by Original Living Magazine as "enthralling global audiences with his extraordinary voice."
Television & Visibility
In 2021, David competed on The Voice Dominicana (Telemicro) — one of the most-watched televised singing competitions in the Dominican Republic and the broader Caribbean market. His blind audition performance of "Nessun Dorma" turned all chairs, introducing his operatic voice to a regional prime-time audience.
In 2024, David attended the 25th Annual Latin Grammy Awards — the premier recognition ceremony for Latin music — further cementing his presence within the Latin music industry at the highest level.
Original Productions
Beyond the concert stage, David is a producer of original theatrical events. His Gran Gala Victoriana series — an immersive Victorian masquerade experience blending opera, period costumes, and live performance — has established him as a creator of distinctive live entertainment in the South Florida market. The second edition, "Mascarade," sold out at Caza de la Música in Doral.
In February 2026 he produced and headlined "Un Carnevale In Venezia" at Illusion Banquet Hall, Miami — a self-produced two-hour concert in three acts: countertenor, baritone, and Latin crossover.
Spanish-Language Crossover
His debut release, a Spanish-language interpretation of Puccini's "Nessun Dorma" — "Qué nadie duerma... Nessun Dorma" — bridges classical opera and contemporary Latin production. A new album is in development for 2026, applying full operatic training to modern Latin sound.
On Stage
As a live performer, David brings theatrical presence and technical precision to every appearance. He performs in Spanish, Italian, Latin, and English — bridging cultures as naturally as he bridges vocal registers. His 2026 season includes performances in Miami, Doral, Lima (Perú), and Key Biscayne.
